We are trying to make it hard to go to hell from Robertson County.

  1. by being a loving church

Easier said than done. You see, a church is not a group of perfect people that have it all figured out, but a group of broken people still chasing Jesus. We aren’t perfect but we are trying to be holy. Sometimes brokenness can be translated into non-loving acts but as we continue to chase Jesus we believe that sanctifying act will translate into the greatest love that our community can experience (Psalm 133: 1; Proverbs 10: 12; John 15: 13; 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7; 16: 14; Ephesians 4: 2; Colossians 3: 14; 1 John 4: 7-8).

  2. by being a church that leads our community to Jesus

Everything we do should end in Great Commission fulfillment or we are doing the wrong things. Our job is to glorify God by bringing Jesus into our spheres of influence. Throughout the year, we host, create and help many events and activities to accomplish the Great Commission. Stay tuned on the EVENTS PAGE to keep up (Psalm 96: 2-4; Matthew 4: 19-20; 28: 16-20; Mark 13: 10; 16: 15-16; 1 Corinthians 9: 16; 2 Timothy 1: 7-8; Philemon 6; 1 Peter 3: 15-16)

  3. by being a church that intentionally leaves a godly legacy for the future

Springfield Baptist Church has a rich heritage of Biblically preaching, missions funding and community outreach. As our world is ever changing (more so now than ever before), we are intentionally focused on training and resourcing the Great Commission in the days ahead. That means we must be more intentional in discipling and training our children, parents and families to encounter this world (Deuteronomy 6: 5-7; Joshua 4: 21-22; Psalm 78: 4; 112: 1-3; Proverbs 13: 22; 22: 7; 1 Timothy 5: 8; 6: 6; 2 Timothy 2: 2; 2 Peter 1: 12-15).
